Introduction

IDsGo Distributor will now have the ability to map room types, or rate plans of a connected Supplier(either Go Supplier or Build Supplier) with their own internal ids. Room mapping and Rate mapping apply the same logic; below will take room mapping as an example to explain the use of it.


Once a mapping is set up, GO will translate room type and rate plan id’s in all API calls between the distributor and supplier.




Operation Process

  1. To enable the room mapping feature, you should first identify the connection that needs attention and then navigate to the connection detail page. Inside the Connection Profile section, there is a Detail option.
  2. Click the Detail option to open the settings for advanced features, including room mapping. Turn it on, then click the Submit button.

    Note: a View button will appear right after the function is switched on. On click it will redirect you to the room mapping page where to can import mappings.
  3. Upon successful submission, you will see a prompt on screen indicating that the function is in use now.

Step 2: Apply the Room Mapping in the Management Page

  1. Access Console>Management>Room Mapping, this tool is available to be used for both UAT and Prod environments.
  2. You can select either to add it one by one or bulk update by using this tool.
    a. Add items one by one
    Add room mappings one by one, completing all required fields shown in the screenshot, then click Save.
     
    b. Bulk Update
    Download the template by clicking the icon, fill in all mandatory fields (missing any will cause import failure), then upload the edited file to Console. The system will automatically validate it; errors will prompt if any data is invalid. Mapping between Distributor room Id and Supplier room Id is 1:1.
  3. After successful import, you can verify the conversion using Inspector, as shown in the highlighted example below. 


    You will see Room ID displays Distributor Room ID when you shop the Supplier hotel product.

          Export is also supported for selected/all mapping records, if you would like to download it from the console interface.

          

Important:
Scenarios that will fail the room mapping conversion:
a. If Distributor room Id is mapped to an invalid Supplier room Id, when you shop, Go will return the original Supplier room Id;
b. If a mapping is deleted, when you shop, Go will return the original Supplier room Id;
c. If the hotel is updated for an existing mapping(e.g. from GO101 to GO102), when you shop GO101, Go will return the original Supplier room Id; However, if you shop GO102, you will see the mapped room Id.
