Introduction

Hotel mapping function is developed to enable our GO distributor IDcustomers to receive a different hotel id than what is sent by the hotel CRS. You would usually like to receive the GDS IDs or GIATA IDs, etc. The mappings will usually be provided by the hotel chain in a format of XL. After our Support Team sets up the hotel mapping, you can choose to use Mapped ID for your connections. You can follow the procedure below to perform this operation.

Operation Process

After hotel mapping is set up, you can now choose to use Mapped ID for a specific Connection despite of a new connection or an existing connection.

Step 1

Use Mapped ID as your hotel ID.

Step 2

Select a mapping ID (equivalent to Mapping Name) from the drop-down list.

Step 3

Then submit for approval to finish your PROD connection settings.

Outcome

Upon Admin approval, you will be able to receive the Mapped ID as hotel Id, which can be subsequently used for hotel setup, ARI shop/receive ARI push, LiveCheck and Book.

By extension, you will see mapped IDs instead of supplier hotel ids when you look up the hotels via Inspector or review hotels via Operation>Hotel.

Important Notes:
You need to follow the hotel activation process to set up hotels again if any of the following happens as the hotel activated based on previous mapping will be deleted.
① Initially you used Mapped ID for a connection,then switched to use original ID;
② Initially you used mapping e.g.Sabre for a connection,then updated the mapping source to e.g. GIATA.
Failure to reactivate hotels will cause the system to report error ’Hotel Not Found’to you during ARI connectivity, LiveCheck, Book, etc.
